New Mexico has no state-mandated topic requirements beyond the 30-hour total.
Credit must come from an organization accredited by the ACCME, AMA, New Mexico Medical Association, or AAFP. ACGME residency or fellowship time accrues toward the requirement. Teaching or presenting accredited CME can satisfy a portion of required hours.

Renewal cycle: biennial, tied to the licensee's birth month. Effective October 1, 2016, all licenses by exam and endorsement are issued for 1 year plus months to the applicant's birth month, then renewed for full 2-year periods.
