For RNs, 30 hours is the total CME requirement. Delaware also requires a set of one-time topics that count toward the 30-hour total.

“At least one hour on the recognition of and response to suspected or known sexual abuse, physical abuse, exploitation, trafficking, or domestic violence of vulnerable persons.”
Credit must come from an organization accredited by the ACCME, AMA, Delaware Medical Association, or AAFP. ACGME residency or fellowship time accrues toward the requirement. Teaching or presenting accredited CME can satisfy a portion of required hours.

Physicians are responsible for retaining CME documentation and producing it on request. Requirements include course title, dates, hours, sponsoring organization, and accrediting body.
For initial RN renewal: nurses licensed on or after October 1 of odd years but before June 1 of odd years are required to complete 0 contact hours for their first renewal cycle.
