Physicians are responsible for retaining CME documentation and producing it on request. Requirements include course title, dates, hours, sponsoring organization, and accrediting body.
First-renewal exemption — those persons licensed for the first time shall not be required to complete CE as a prerequisite for the first renewal of their licenses. CE hours acquired anytime from initial licensing until the second license renewal may be used.
