FAQ
How many CE hours do Nevada podiatrists need?
50 hours every two years, documented in even-numbered years at the time of paying the annual renewal fee. CPR certification must also be current at every renewal — that is a statutory prerequisite, not a Board policy.
Are APMA-approved credits accepted in Nevada?
NRS 635.115 requires courses "approved by the Board for purposes of continuing professional education." APMA-approved and CPME-recognized programs are accepted in practice; the Board maintains a current list of approved providers and approved courses on its website.
Are there mandatory CE topics for DPM renewal in Nevada?
Yes. Two SBIRT hours are required within two years after initial licensure (one-time, structured as part of the 50-hour total). For podiatric physicians registered to dispense controlled substances, two hours of training on substance use disorders and the prescribing of opioids are required every period of licensure under NRS 635.116. Federal MATE Act training is also required for all DEA-registered podiatrists.
Where can I check my Nevada podiatry license renewal date?
The Nevada State Board of Podiatry maintains a license verification function on its website at podiatry.nv.gov.
