FAQ
How many CE hours do Kansas podiatrists need?
54 hours every three years per K.A.R. 100-49-8(a), submitted before or with the application for renewal as evidence of completion during the preceding three-year period.
Are APMA-approved credits accepted in Kansas?
Yes. K.A.R. 100-49-8(c)(1) approves courses offered by sponsors meeting CPME 720, the Council on Podiatric Medical Education standard for approval of sponsors of continuing education in podiatric medicine (adopted by reference). APMA-approved CME generally satisfies this pathway. AMA Category I and AOA Category I credits are also expressly accepted.
Are there mandatory CE topics for DPM renewal in Kansas?
K.A.R. 100-49-8 does not carve out specific subject-matter mandates within the 54-hour total. K.A.R. 100-49-9 cross-references additional general KSBHA professional and procedural rules. The federal MATE Act adds a one-time 8-hour SUD training for DEA-registered podiatrists — that is a federal overlay independent of any Kansas rule.
Where can I check my Kansas podiatry license renewal date?
The Kansas State Board of Healing Arts maintains a Licensee & Registrant Profile Search at kansas.gov/ssrv-ksbhada/search.html, displaying current status, expiration date, and disciplinary history.

Never miss a Kansas CME deadline.

Atlas CME tracks your hours, maps them to your state requirements, and reminds you before your your license anniversary renewal.
