FAQ
How many state-level CE hours do Kansas CRNAs need?
60 contact hours per biennium combined: 30 RN-tier hours under K.A.R. 60-9 plus an additional 30 APRN-role hours under K.A.R. 60-11-113(b). NBCRNA-aligned CE (AANA, ANCC) typically counts toward both blocks. APRN renewal additionally requires active NBCRNA certification.
Does Kansas require NBCRNA certification for CRNA licensure?
Yes. NBCRNA initial certification is required for APRN/CRNA licensure, and active NBCRNA certification must be maintained for renewal.
Is Kansas part of the APRN Compact?
No. Kansas has not enacted the APRN Compact as of 2026. Kansas is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for the RN portion.
Where can I check my Kansas CRNA license renewal date?
License status and verification are available through KSBN License Verification at ksbn.kansas.gov/license-verification/.
