FAQ
How many state-level CE hours do Wyoming CRNAs need?
None as a contact-hour total for currently-certified CRNAs. Under 054-2 Wyo. Code R. § 2-13(c)(i)(A), the APRN renewal pathway is current national certification (NBCRNA recertification for CRNAs). APRNs with prescriptive authority must additionally complete 3 hours of CE on responsible prescribing of controlled substances or treatment of substance abuse disorders per biennium under § 2-13(c)(ii). The 60-hour CE pathway exists only as a legacy alternative for APRNs licensed before January 1, 1999 who are not nationally certified.
Does Wyoming require NBCRNA certification for CRNA licensure?
Yes. WY APRN-CRNA licensure requires current NBCRNA national certification, both at initial application and on a continuing basis.
Is Wyoming part of the APRN Compact?
No, WY has not enacted the APRN Compact as of April 2026. WY is, however, a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for the underlying RN license.
Where can I check my Wyoming CRNA license renewal date?
Use the Wyoming Nurse Portal at https://wybn.boardsofnursing.org/wybn or contact WSBN at wsbn.practice@wyo.gov.
