FAQ
Does New Hampshire treat DDS and DMD differently for CE purposes?
No. New Hampshire licenses dentists under the Board of Dental Examiners, and the CE rules apply the same way to DDS and DMD licensees.
Are ADA CERP credits accepted in New Hampshire?
The current rule does not name ADA CERP or AGD PACE by trade name. It accepts documentation from the Academy of General Dentistry, the NH Dental Society, the American Dental Association, their recognized specialty organizations, and the other sponsor categories listed in Den 406.05 and Den 406.06.
Are there mandatory CE topics for dentist renewal in New Hampshire?
Yes. Every active dentist must complete the clinical-subject minimum, BLS-HCP, infection control, and Medical Emergency Training. Dentists required to register with the PDMP and holding a valid DEA number must also complete 3 CEUs in pain management, addiction disorder, or both, unless they use the online-examination alternative.
Where can I check my New Hampshire dental license renewal date?
Renewal information is maintained by the New Hampshire Office of Professional Licensure and Certification. The current adopted renewal rule uses the OPLC renewal process and asks dentists to attest to completion of the 40 CEUs required by Den 406.03(b).
