FAQ
How many state-level CE hours do Georgia CRNAs need?
Georgia uses a multi-option continuing competency framework under Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. r. 410-13. The CE-pathway option is 30 contact hours per biennium; alternatives include maintenance of national certification (NBCRNA for CRNAs), accredited academic study, 500 hours of practice, or other Board-approved activities. Most CRNAs satisfy the rule through the national-certification option, and ch. 410-11 separately requires CRNAs to submit a copy of current NBCRNA certification at every biennial renewal.
Does Georgia require NBCRNA certification for CRNA licensure?
Yes. NBCRNA initial certification is required for APRN/CRNA authorization, and active NBCRNA certification must be maintained for renewal.
Is Georgia part of the APRN Compact?
No. Georgia has not enacted the APRN Compact as of 2026. Georgia is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for the RN portion.
Where can I check my Georgia CRNA license renewal date?
License verification is available through the Georgia Secretary of State's verification portal at verify.sos.ga.gov/verification/.
