FAQ
How many state-level CE hours do Minnesota CRNAs need?
Minnesota RN CE is 24 contact hours per biennium. CRNAs satisfy this through NBCRNA recertification CE. APRN renewal additionally requires active NBCRNA certification.
Does Minnesota require NBCRNA certification for CRNA licensure?
Yes. NBCRNA initial certification is required for APRN/CRNA licensure, and active NBCRNA certification must be maintained for renewal.
Is Minnesota part of the APRN Compact?
No. Minnesota is not a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) and has not enacted the APRN Compact. CRNAs practicing in Minnesota must hold Minnesota-issued credentials.
Where can I check my Minnesota CRNA license renewal date?
License status and verification are available through Minnesota Health Licensing Bureau license search at hlb-licensure.web.health.state.mn.us/.
