FAQ
How many state-level CE hours do North Dakota CRNAs need?
The underlying RN credential requires 12 contact hours of CE within the preceding two years. APRNs with prescriptive authority face an additional 15-hour biennial pharmacotherapy CE requirement (applicability to a specific CRNA depends on prescriptive scope; verify with NDBON).
Does North Dakota require NBCRNA certification for CRNA licensure?
Yes. NDBON requires successful completion of an NDBON-recognized APRN national certification examination, which for CRNAs is the NBCRNA exam, and continued maintenance of that certification.
Is North Dakota part of the APRN Compact?
ND has enacted the APRN Compact (one of four enacting states — DE, ND, SD, UT) but the compact is not yet operational as of April 2026; activation requires seven enacting states. ND is also a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for the underlying RN license.
Where can I check my ND CRNA license renewal date?
Use the NDBON renewal portal at https://ndbon.org/licensing/renewal/ or contact NDBON at (701) 751-3000.

Never miss a North Dakota CME deadline.

Atlas CME tracks your hours, maps them to your state requirements, and reminds you before your your license anniversary renewal.
